About The National Lottery Anniversary Run
In the summer of 2012 the nation was transfixed as history was made. Now it is your turn to tread in the footsteps of legends. Be the first back to the Stadium.
The National Lottery Anniversary Run will take place on 21st July 2013. The 5 mile course will traverse the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, before reaching a thrilling conclusion on the track inside the stadium. Each runner will have the opportunity to bring two friends or family members to cheer them on to the finish line. To enable children to be part of the action, there will be a shorter distance Family Run where kids can participate accompanied by an adult.
By playing The National Lottery, the public provide crucial funding to our Olympic and Paralympic athletes and supported a glorious summer of sport. The National Lottery Anniversary Run, staged in partnership with the London Borough of Newham, celebrates this contribution and the life-changing support players continue to give both grassroots and elite sport in the UK.

Entry Information
When will I receive my race pack and what does it include?
Your race pack will be sent out to approximately two weeks prior to the event and will include your exclusive event T-shirt, race number and detailed information guide concerning the event. It will also include your electronic timing chip, which will record your accurate running time for the event.
My tee shirt is too big/small?
Tee shirts have been ordered in accordance with what you indicated on your entry form. All sizes are unisex; small, medium, large, extra-large and extra extra-large.
If your tee shirt doesn't fit then there are, subject to demand, opportunities to exchange for another size on event day; visit the information point two at event start.
What do I get for my entry fee?
The opportunity to run on a spectacular five-mile course within the Olympic Park and culminating in the Olympic Stadium. It also includes a race number, two spectator passes for the Olympic Stadium, a full information pack sent to you approximately two weeks before the event, a high-quality event T-Shirt to wear on the run, computer chip timing for a completely accurate running time, on-course refreshments, a finisher's pack and souvenir medal.
Can I sell my race number or spectator passes?
No. To avoid misidentification in the event of a medical or other emergency, you must not sell your run number or use a number not belonging to you. You are strictly prohibited from selling or auctioning your spectator passes to any other person however these can be given away should you wish (it should be noted that spectator passes, while not allocated to a specific seat, are allocated to certain areas). If you are found in breach of this condition, we reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the event.
Why do we only get two spectator passes?
We would very much like to be able to give people more than two spectator passes per person, however, this is the first public event being staged in the Stadium since the Closing Ceremony and as a result the event has a strict limit for safety reasons.
What zone have I been allocated to?
Race numbers will be allocated on the basis of your predicted running time and you will be allocated a coloured run number to reflect this time.
Can I run to raise money for charity/fundraise?
Charitable fundraising is permitted, although this is not a charity event, and it is entirely the runner's personal decision should they wish to fund-raise.
Are there any prizes on offer to runners?
Winning medals will be awarded to the first three male and first three female participants. No other awards or prizes will be awarded.
Confirmation Emails
I have not yet received a confirmation email, am I in?
If you have made a payment (money has been debited from your account) and have the reference ID, then you are in. If payment has been taken but you haven't received written confirmation please check your spam/junk folder. If it's not there please email info@nationallotteryrun.com and the team will reply with the confirmation. Please allow the team a little bit of time to come back to you but rest assured, if payment has been taken you're in the run.
If you completed an entry but have yet to have payment taken from your account. Please email info@nationallotteryrun.com and they will be able to confirm that you entered successfully. Again please allow the team a little bit of time to come back to you. Thanks for your patience.

Where is the main entrance to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park - which gate should I head to?
Details will be provided to entrants prior to the race. This information will also be available at www.nationallotteryrun.com nearer to the race.
How will I/my guests find our way around the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park?
Detailed instructions will be included in your race pack for both runners and supporters. In addition there will be stewards and signage on the day. Please be aware that general access in and around the site for supporters will be restricted, and you should adhere to the advice and guidance given by stewards at all times.
Where does the run start?
The run starts in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Newham.
Where does the run finish?
The run finishes in the Stadium at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
Is there any parking at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park?
There will be no parking facilities allocated for this event, so you will need to make your own arrangements. Participants are advised to use public transport.

Participants are advised to use public transport. No designated car parking has been allocated for this event, and you should make your own arrangements.

What time does the run start?
The final timetable is still to be confirmed, however we are working towards a 10am start for the event. The Family event will start after 12 noon.
From what time can I access the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park?
This information will be confirmed and communicated to entrants prior to the race as well as being made available at www.nationallotteryrun.com.
What time will the event end?
All participants and supporters must vacate the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park by 16:30.
What time do I have to exit the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park?
All participants and supporters must vacate the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park by 16:30.
Is there a maximum time for how long I can take to complete the run?
All participants must complete the run within two hours.
Spectator Passes
How many spectator passes do I get for the Anniversary Run?
People running the anniversary run get 2 spectator passes each.
How are the spectator passes allocated for the Family Run?
Only the adult (who must be 18 years old or over) will get 2 additional passes each.
Maximum 2 adults in each family group, so any group will only get a maximum of 4 additional passes, on top of their actual race numbers.
I have young children, do they need spectator passes?
Infants (2 years old and under) do not need a seat and therefore a spectator pass. Should you want an additional infant wristband, please email info@nationallotteryrun.com with a copy of the child's passport or birth certificate. This additional pass will be sent out 2 weeks before the event. All such requests must be received on or before Monday 1 July 2013.

Can I/my guests remain in the Stadium after I have completed my run?
Yes, runners and supporters may stay in the Olympic Stadium after you have run. However, you must have vacated the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park by 16:30.
How do I meet up with my friends and family when I have completed the run?
When you have finished your run and have exited the finish area, you will see that the Olympic Stadium has been split into 4 coloured zones - red, white, green and pink. Your friends and family will be seated in the coloured zone that corresponds to your race number and their spectator wristbands.
Within these coloured zones will be signage with letters of the alphabet on. You should arrange to meet your friends and family close to the sign with the first letter of your surname. For example if your name is John Smith and you are in the pink wave, your family would be in the pink block of seats close to the ‘S’ sign.
Do spectators have to be over a certain age?
There is no age restriction regarding the age of your two supporters.More details on the available facilities for babies will be placed on www.nationallotteryrun.com in due course.
Will spectators only be allowed to watch me as I finish in the stadium or are there various spectator points around the course?
Spectators will only be able watch runners within the Stadium.
Can I/my supporters have a look around the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park while we are there?
The course will offer entrants extensive views of the Park. Supporters will only be able to access the Stadium and will not be able to move around the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
Can I/my supporters have a tour of the Olympic Stadium while we are there?
No - unfortunately this will not be possible. However visit http://noordinarypark.co.uk/events/ to book on to the park in progress tours.
Catering/Water
Will catering facilities will be provided on site?
Yes - catering facilities will be accessible on the day.
Will water stations be provided or do I need to bring my own water?
A drinks station will be provided on course, and water will also be available prior to the event at the start and also at the finish.
Accessibility
Do you have accessible seating / space for wheelchairs for spectators?
A designated area within the stadium will be set aside for disabled access to view the event.
Is the run open to blind or partially-sighted runners?
Entries from blind or visually-impaired participants are welcome, and each participant may bring a chaperone to assist them at the event, at no extra cost. Entry details for your participating chaperone will be handled after the successful applicants have been selected from the ballot.
Can you guarantee a place for blind or partially-sighted runners' guides and will they need to pay the entrance fee?
Entries from blind or visually-impaired participants are welcome, and each participant may bring a chaperone to assist them at the event, at no extra cost. Entry details for your participating chaperone will be handled after the successful applicants have been selected from the ballot.
Is the run open to people with physical disabilities?

Numbers will be allocated according to predicted time and participants are advised to assemble according to the colour of their number at the rear of the field.

Security/Bags
What should I do with my bag?
A baggage facility will be available on the day of the event. The event organisers will take no responsibility for the loss, damage or theft of items brought into Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
Where do I go to get my bag after the run?
This will be clearly signposted on the day.

ANNIVERSARY RUN ONLINE BALLOT
The ballot opens at 10am on Thursday 23rd May and will close at 7pm on Wednesday 5th June. There is no limit to the amount of people who can enter the ballot during this time and no money will be taken.
When the ballot closes on 5th June, 2,500 entrants will be drawn at random and the successful applicants will be notified on or before 7th June by email. The entry price will also be charged to the debit/credit card used during the ballot process. All unsuccessful applicants will also be notified at the same time and no charge incurred.
